Dr Don Patton on Acambaro, Mexico

Thank you for a most excellent presentation.  I have two points to bring up just by way of information and interest.  I find the -3060 date on Sample 3 most persuasive.  The thermoluminessence data on four samples seems odd to ME.  By using Barry Setterfield's conversion formula (only slightly altered) I come up with Pangea fully formed at -3060 or 300 Ma and broken up fully by -2500 cal.  If Pangea is fully formed when ceramic figurines are being manufactured then all races would be in contact with the potters.  The second point is that we know the Permo-Triassic extinction event occurred in -2934 to -2932.  Therefore dinosaurs were alive at the time of -3060 but not -2500. Regards.

Sample 2 6,480 +/- 170

Sample 3 3,060 +/- 120   -2,940 [299 Ma + 219 million years = 80 Ma]
